The Golden Age Club offers a variety of social and
recreational opportunities designed to promote the
independence and well-being of Calgary seniors. Programs
include fitness, arts and crafts, fine arts, dancing, and
personal development. There is a lounge open to members and
a cafeteria open to the public. Other activities include
billiards, darts, bingo, cards, coffee and conversation,
days trips, and special events. A dance with a 15-piece
orchestra takes place the second Thursday of each month
(except summer) at a cost of $3. Tuesday Time-out is an
adult day program running Tuesdays from 9:30 - 2:30 for
seniors with physicals limitations. Participants must be
fairly independent. Membership: approx. 1100.
