Calgary Health Services/Home Care operates under the Calgary Regional Health Authority. Services are provided for anyone who lives in the area served by the CRHA.
Anyone can make a referral to Home Care. A doctor's referral is not needed.

8 am to 10 pm Monday through Friday
8 am to 4 pm Saturday, Sunday or holidays
If someone is in a hospital and may need Home Care after discharge, there are Home Care staff there in the hospital. The nurse on the unit can contact them for the client or the family.
Clients in hospitals and palliative clients are considered for immediate admission. Clients referred from the community are placed on a wait list to be considered for admission.
Services are provided to people of all ages. Professional services include nursing care, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, nutrition counselling, and (for adults only) speech-language therapy. There is no charge for professional services.
Support services include housekeeping, personal care and companion sitting. House cleaning services are very limited. There may be a small charge for homemaking services.
