Download
With any download or upload, you have to make sure which protocol (kermit or zmodem) and which mode (ASCII or binary) to use. If the file is moved using the wrong setting (especially a binary one), it will more than likely be corrupted. Look for this information on the second page under "Settings". The options with the (*) beside them are the options currently active. To change them, tab down to the option and press enter to toggle the setting.
To Download:
In the space provided beside "Home Directory File List:", press enter. All your files will be listed. Select one and press enter. After checking to see what your settings are, put the cursor or highlight onto "Download" and press the Enter/Return key. The file will assume the same name on your home computer.
To Upload:
After checking to see what your settings are, put the cursor or highlight onto "Upload" and press the Enter/Return key.. You then have to go to the telecommunications software on your home computer and specify which file you want to upload, then start the upload procedure from your home computer. The file will assume the same name in your CCNA home directory as you sent from your home computer.
