Why you sometimes get disconnected

Usually there is not a problem at the  CCNA end.

If, for example, you do not press a key for 15 minutes you will be logged off. This is a default set up in case a user leaves his computer while it is still logged in. This helps reduce the possibility of an unauthorized person from using the account.

Non-members are allowed 1 hour of connect time per session. Members get 2 hours of connect time per session. The CCNA computer will disconnect if you try to exceed these limits. In most cases, you will get a warning when you are nearing the end of your log in time.

If you are disconnected for any other reason it could be a problem with:

.
- the telephone line
- communication software
- someone picking up an extension set which is on the same line as your computer
         connection
- pressing the letter Q inadvertently
- or some other reason

If you find that you are being disconnected on a regular basis, call us at the Help Desk.

or the CCNA Office
