To quit a dialup session:

  • Under the blue telephone icon on the menu bar, select Close PPP Connection

Quit your PPP applications such as your web browser and email program as well.

Troubleshooting

If repeated dialup attempts fail, you may have entered your CCNA username or password incorrectly; re-enter your username and password and try again. If the CCNA username and password are correct, check the other settings.

If a dialup attempt connects and then quits or the connection is unreliable, your modem settings may need changing. In the modem settings, try selecting a higher port speed or disable AutoDetect. Under the Modem control panel, try selecting a different modem model.

If you tried all the above changes but still cannot connect, contact CCNA.
